Learning to Be Grateful - Having Gratitude

After our horrible family emergency this past summer, I am working hard towards having a more positive outlook in the aftermath. I want to be grateful for what I have after all that we have lost.

What are you grateful for today?

I'm Finally Back - I've Missed Blogging!

Hi there! It's been awhile since I last posted on here. We had a family emergency that was very traumatic to our family during the summer. I had to spend a lot of time with my family. I still need to dedicate a lot of time especially to my daughter, therefore I won't be here blogging on a full time basis for a while. But I have missed blogging TERRIBLY. Therefore, I hereby declare that my blogging hiatus is OVER. I won't be doing any reviews for a while still, but I will share some things that are on topic at least.
Did you miss me? What would you like to see me blog about? Please give me some ideas!

Pure Care Home sent us two bottles of their all natural, aromatherapy cleaner products. We received a bottle of Pure Care Home 's All-purpose cleaner in their Cedar Patchouli Orange scent and a bottle of their Glass cleaner in their Eucalyptus Clove Cedar scent.
This glass cleaner is super good stuff. It makes everything so shiny and clean while scenting the air very nicely.

This All-purpose cleaner is amazing, too. One thing that I noticed about both of these cleaners is that a little bit goes a long way. If you spray too much, the amount of the essential oils scent can be overwhelming so just be careful.
I love the very unique scents that are offered by Pure Care Home. I enjoy having different natural scents in my home. Add to that how well they clean and I can't say enough how happy these products have made me.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Soap Nuts Laundry Detergent by Green Virgin Products Review #GVP

Green Virgin Products makes a fantastic natural laundry detergent made from Soap Nuts. What are Soap Nuts, you ask?
Soap Nuts have been used in Asian cultures for a few thousand years. Because they grow on trees, Soap Nuts have what's called a negative carbon footprint (Read more about carbon footprints here.). Amazingly, Soap Nuts cost much less (2.5x!) than leading national detergent brands WITHOUT polluting our water supply like toxic name brand detergents do. Using Soap Nuts allows your laundry to be naturally softer without the need to add fabric softener.
Here's my Soap Nuts detergent , ready to put into action!
The bottle is an eight ounce size. If you have an HE washer, you will need two squirts for a typical load of laundry. If you have a top loader like I do, your typical load of laundry will require three squirts of Soap Nuts detergent.

It's a very simple pump action squirt bottle. So easy, my three year old could manage to do it (and since it's non-toxic, I don't mind if she wants to help!). Although I will warn you that it doesn't smell pleasant.
Soap Nuts detergent is not a regular sudsy type of detergent. Here, I already added the three squirts of Soap Nuts and the washing machine is half full of water, but you can't even tell the detergent is there (unless you look extra closely and see a drop of it on the agitator in the middle).
Here's my laundry, ready to be closed up and get all clean. Soap Nuts has done great at getting everything clean and soft. And even though I don't care for the scent of the detergent, the clothes have no scent other than simply smelling clean!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

The Men's Soap Company Shave Soap was designed to help men achieve a great smooth shave while enjoying the shaving experience. This Himalaya shaving soap puck is made from all natural ingredients and has a great smell.

Here's what my husband, Michael, thinks about the Men's Shaving Soap Bar-

His first thought about the directions (see picture below) was that it seemed a bit complicated for simply using soap! But then he realized that the directions are simply common sense. Of course you will need to soak the bar and get it good and wet to get a good lather out of it, just like any other natural soap.

The bar of shaving soap is a very good size for the cost. Michael uses both shaving soap and shaving cream and the soaps also last longer. He uses the creams if he is running late for work. Otherwise, he takes his time and gets in a good shave with the shaving soap. He feels that with him shaving about 13 times a month, this bar will easily last him three, if not four,  months if he used it every time he shaved.

The shaving soap lathers nicely, apples well, and Michael especially liked that the shea butter helped cut back on irritation while keeping his face nicely moisturized.
This shaving bar will not disappoint you with its size. It is very thick. Michael likes that it is round, not long, so that it fits into a shaving bowl better.
The shaving soap is a Himalaya scent which Michael felt was very nice. It has just a bit of a hint of masculinity to it without being overbearing. Compared to the scent of shaving cream, he feels that the shaving soap is more woodsy and more natural, unlike the chemical filled creams with their fake, overwhelming scent.

And of course, we LOVE that it's Made in the USA!
