Song of the Week: “Have You Ever Seen An Apple?”
(To the tune of “Have You Ever Seen a Lassie?”)

Have you ever seen an apple, an apple, an apple

Have you ever seen an apple, that grows on a tree?

A red one, a yellow one, a red one, a yellow one?

Have you ever seen an apple, that grows on a tree?

Book of the Week: Apple Trouble by Ragnhild Scamell

Activities of the Day for Monday: We started our day off by creating with our busy beads and chain links. Then we enjoyed Independent Reading Time, where we focused on how to properly hold our book. We introduced the BOTW and the SOTW. Later, we listened to classical music, played with our baby dolls and kitchen toys, and enjoyed dancing together!

Special Enrichment for Monday: We baked some yummy Apple Crisp!!! Mmmmm….we also talked about how apples are red, yellow and green!

Activities of the Day for Tuesday: We began our day by building with our blocks and listening to our “Can You Guess What Color?” CD. We had IRT, where we focused on how to properly hold our book. Then we sang our SOTW and read the BOTW. We listened to some beautiful classical music. Later, we built with our alphabet blocks and worked together on our puzzles.

Special Enrichment for Tuesday: We went to Berry Patch Farms! We went on a hayride, walked through the pumpkin patch and picked out a pumpkin, checked out the cotton field, sat with the pumpkins and saw the scarecrow, got another short hayride, drank some apple cider (which we ALL loved!), saw the animals at the petting zoo, and played on the playground! We had a REALLY FUN DAY!

Activities of the Day for Wednesday: We started our day by building with our bristle blocks and trying to sort them by color. We had IRT, where we focused on how to properly hold our book.
We read the BOTW and sang the SOTW. We played in our toy kitchen, read theme related books (the Halloween books are popular right now!), and played with our musical instruments. We pretended to call people in our family on the toy phone! We also built with our Duplo blocks.

Special Enrichment for Wednesday: We made some yummy homemade applesauce! It was delicious! We also played our Fisher Price 1, 2, 3 game on our computer.

Activities of the Day for Thursday: We started our day off by building with our mini waffle blocks and our Legos. We had IRT, where we focused on how to properly hold our book. Then we sang the SOTW and read the BOTW. We built with our chain links and played in our kitchen set (a favorite this week!). We read some theme related books, made some silly faces with out Mr. Potato Heads and built with our bumpy blocks. We ended our day by playing with our magnetic fishing game and building towers with our alphabet blocks.

Special Enrichment for Thursday: We played “Find the Apple”! Ms. Becky hid three apples (one yellow, one red, and one green) around the playroom for us to find! We had so much fun with this game once we figured out what to do!

Activities of the Day for Friday: We began our day by playing with our Hotwheels and our electronic learning toys. We had IRT, where we focused on how to properly hold our book. We read our BOTW and sang our SOTW. We played with our gardening set and our busy beads. We ended our day by reading Halloween books!

Special Enrichment for Friday: We watched a fun movie called Frankenpooh! We also made an orange collage for our COTM.

Activities of the Day for Saturday: We started our day by reading a Nursery Rhymes book and a book about cows. We then read our BOTW and sang our SOTW. We played with our Lights and Sounds toy and our farm animal toys. We dressed up with beaded necklaces and tried to build with our interconnectors, Legos and chain links.
