Song of the Week: "The Fire Drill Song"

A fire drill, a fire drill
            Is what this song’s about.
A fire drill will show you
            The way to get out.

A fire drill, a fire drill
We need to have a plan.
            So everyone can get out
            As fast as they can.

To move real fast, stay low and go.

A fire drill, a fire drill
            Let’s practice once and then,
We’ll check our plan and practice
            Getting out again.

If there’s a fire, you need to know
To move real fast, stay low and go.

A fire drill, a fire drill
            Is what this song’s about.
A fire drill will show you
            The way to get out.

A fire drill, a fire drill
            Let’s practice once and then,
We’ll check our plan and practice
            Getting out again.
            Getting out again!

Book of the Week: At the Firehouse by Fisher Price

We had IRT (where we worked on staying seated while reading our book.) We introduced the SOTW and the BOTW. We got creative with our busy beads, worked together to complete our alphabet train puzzle and built with our Lincoln Logs while listening to music. We watched Potty Time With Bear In The Big Blue House. We also pretended to cook in our kitchen center using our new apron and hot pad set.

Special Enrichment for Monday: We did a Hot and Cold sorting activity to help us learn things around the house that are hot that we should not touch.
We also had Baking Day and baked Chocolate Almond Bread – mmmmmm!
