Book of the Week {BOTW}: Best Thanksgiving Book by Pat Whitehead

Activities of the Day for Monday: We started our day by playing in our Laugh and Learn Learning House, climbing on our indoor slide and using our shape sorters. Then we enjoyed IRT (Independent Reading Time) where we focused this week on putting our book away on the shelf where we found it when we are finished reading it. Next we introduced our BOTW and SOTW. Then we enjoyed building with our mini waffle blocks and playing with our Little People playsets and musical instruments.

Special Enrichment for Monday: We played a color recognition game called “‘Round the Turkey”....children walk in a circle around a turkey with multi-colored feathers. I sang, “’Round the turkey, ‘round the turkey, here we go! Here we go! (child’s name), can you find a color of this kind, please find (color), please find (color).” Then the child finds the feather that is that color. Fun!
We also made yummy baked apples!
