Parents - Newsletter 02/13-02/17


Parents - I am so sorry that this is late going out. This past week has been crazy busy!

Just a reminder that all activities are based on the number of children present each day, ages of the children present, and mood of the children.

What We Did On Monday: We began our day by playing with our large beads and our Hotwheels cars. Then we enjoyed Independent Reading Time (IRT) where we focused this week on putting our books away when we are finished reading. After that, I introduced the BOTW and the SOTW. Then we listened to our Veggie Tales CD, enjoyed going up up and down our indoor slide, playing with our electronic learning toys, exploring the Laugh and Learn Learning Home, practicing our shape sorters and playing with our Batter's Up! toy.
Special Enrichment for Monday: We baked some delicious chocolate chip banana bread!

What We Did On Tuesday: We started our day off by lovingly caring for our baby dolls and pretending to cook in the kitchen. Then we enjoyed IRT where we focused this week on  putting our books away when we are finished reading. Then we sang the SOTW and read the BOTW. Later in the day, we also played with our toy animals, played with our large beads, used our gross motor skills to go up and down our slide, used our imaginations with our Little People playsets, worked on puzzles and practiced our matching skills with our shape sorters.


Special Enrichment for Tuesday: We watched a movie called Blue's Alphabet Power!!



What We Did On Wednesday: We began our day by playing with our kitchen toys and our dollhouse. Then we enjoyed IRT where we focused this week on  putting our books away when we are finished reading. Then we read the BOTW and sang the SOTW. After that, we enjoyed building with our bumpy blocks.


Special Enrichment for Wednesday: We played a fun game of Chutes and Ladders! We practiced counting, waiting our turn and using a spinner to identify numbers. We also played a Heart Matching Game and matched hearts based on their size.




What We Did On Thursday: We started our day off by playing with our electronic learning toys to work on our letters, numbers, counting, and shapes and cooking in our kitchen. Then we enjoyed IRT where we focused this week on  putting our books away when we are finished reading. Then we sang the SOTW and read the BOTW. Later in the day, we also worked on puzzles, played with our musical instruments, built with our alphabet blocks and pretended with our dollhouse.



Special Enrichment for Thursday: We played a computer game called 1, 2, 3 where we practiced our counting skills! We also watched a short Sesame Street movie called Kids' Favorite Songs!


What We Did On Friday: We began our day by playing with our Mr and Mrs. Potato Heads and building with our bristle blocks. Then we enjoyed IRT where we focused this week on  putting our books away when we are finished reading. Then we sang the SOTW and read the BOTW. Later, we also played with our Hotwheels cars, jammed with our musical instruments, and played in our dollhouse.


Special Enrichment for Friday: We watched the movie The Chipmunks: Be My Valentine!

What We Did on Saturday: We started our day off by playing with our musical instruments and loving on our baby dolls. Then we enjoyed IRT where we focused this week on  putting our books away when we are finished reading. Then we sang the SOTW and read the BOTW. Later in the day, we also played with our Hotwheels cars and our toy animals.


Special Enrichment on Saturday:  We listened to Nature Sounds!
