These two wonderful companies are one and the same. They have some fabulous resources for parents, homeschoolers, and teachers! I was very excited to review their The Red Letter Alphabet Book (RV $20).

This book is a great resource to use when helping your child learn to identify letters and letter sounds. I think that the part that I loved the most about this book is that it utilizes LOWERCASE letters! So many books and toys out there emphasize UPPERCASE letters that many child do not learn their lowercase letters until well beyond they have conquered their uppercase letters.

The part that I love the second most is that the book does not simply focus on what words begin with each letter of the alphabet. The also show pictures with words that have the letter as a middle sound or an end sound. It is just as important for children who are learning to read to identify the sound within the word!

My third favorite feature is that the main letters throughout the book are textured to encourage children to trace them with their finger to learn how to write their letters!

And my last favorite feature is that at the end of the book, they have included a list of activities for you to do with your child using the book!

I think this book has been a great learning tool for my two year old daughter. Yes, she is only two, but she is advanced. She can already identify all of her capital letters which is why this book has been so helpful. In the short time we have had this book, she can now identify 20 of the 26 lowercase letters! She started off calling letter "l" an "I" or a "1" but soon learned that is was an "l". Letters such as "c", "v", "x" and "k" that look a lot like their capital counterpart were easy to pick up on, of course!

The only issue that we have had with the book has been the unique binding. Thankfully, this only happened once and was a fairly easy fix although I had to be very meticulous.

Otherwise, I cannot say enough good things about this book.
