Review with Giveaway for Biokleen (US only, Ends 04/28/13)

I had heard some really great things about Biokleen from other crunchy moms I know so when they agreed to do a review with me, I actually had a hard time deciding which of their products I wanted to review. They have such a great reputation for good products.

Here is the story of how they came to be -
In 1989, Biokleen's founder, Jim Rimer, had a mission: Create effective natural cleaning products for the environment and families who use them.  Decades later, Jim's vision has grown-from his garage with just an oar and a drum-to a nationwide movement. Biokleen's dedication to its roots has never wavered,  offering a full line of highly concentrated, plant-based cleaners, laundry and kitchen products that are free of harsh chemicals, and synthetic colors and fragrances. Now under the second generation of management, Biokleen's Northwest manufacturing facility proudly offsets 100% of the energy and water used in its production.

I finally did decide on one product - their produce wash. We do not purchase all organic produce so when we do purchase conventional produce, I like to have produce wash on hand to cleanse it well and to try to remove as much of the pesticides and such before consuming.

I love how detailed their ingredient list is!

Biokleen Concentrated Produce Wash effectively removes pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, waxes and soil from your fruits and vegetables for a healthier, safer diet and food preparation area. Helps hold natural taste and appearance longer, without the use of preservatives.

Here it is in usage washing some blueberries. We do buy imported blueberries to try to avoid the Dirty Dozen but with berries, I usually try to wash them well still because their skin is so thin.

And here you can see the snack that I packed for Daniella to take to church, including the washed blueberries.

I have to say that I think this product does a very good job of washing my produce. I like that there is no residue left behind or any after taste related to the produce wash. Overall, I am very pleased with using this produce wash.
