Review with Giveaway for Eclipse Sun Products (Ends 06/28/13, US Only)

Disclosure: I received a free product from Eclipse Sun Products in exchange for my opinion about it. I was not required to post a positive review.

We have all been raised to believe that the sun is so detrimental to our health (but then we wonder why everyone is deficient in Vitamin D.) So most people slather on chemical filled sunscreen in the hopes of avoiding skin cancer. I often wonder what they think those chemicals are doing to their skin. The rare times we use sunscreen (when swimming or when we will be in the direct for for an extended period of time  - theme parks, zoo trips, etc) we make sure to use a "safe" brand of sunscreen. When swimming though, we do try to use SPF clothing on the kids as well. That way, we limit how much sunscreen they even need. We also try to wear hats and light weight pants when we know we will be outside for extended periods.

Recently, we discovered Eclipse Sun Products
These are great for people who need to protect their skin from UV rays while playing golf, gardening, driving or just being outside.  They are quick drying (which is a nice feature if you are sweaty), durable, yet thin and stretchy.  Eclipse Sun Sleeves are made of the latest patented sun guard performance fabric UPF 50 so they block at least 98% of harmful ultraviolet rays.

Plus they come in some fabulous colors and patterns. So much fun!

They are easy to layer with. Our son Brandon tried these out. We chose the brown colored one so that they could be a little more universal and neutral.

Brandon is wearing the size Small which is geared towards those weighing between 90 and 130 lbs. The length of them is 21". Weight is a better indicator of size. They are slightly too long on him right now but he should go through a growth spurt soon which will help.

Eclipse Sun Products has a Size Chart that should help you decide which size is best for you.

The material is super soft and Brandon says he felt very comfortable wearing them while he was weeding. He is looking forward to wearing them on a trip that we will be taking soon to Florida - both in the car and while visiting that attractions that we will see. I especially love that they not only cover his arms, but the back of his hands as well.

  5. Personally, I enjoy the SUN!! But I can see that this would be very useful for people who cannot be exposed to the sun in excess. A friend of mine's daughter has albinism and she cannot be in the sun for a long time. this would probably be good for her.
