Piczzle - Your Special Photo Made Into a Puzzle! (Review with Giveaway, Ends 12/28/13, US Only)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was so excited about turning a photo into a puzzle using  Piczzle photo puzzle. Daniella loves puzzles and has outgrown her wooden toddler puzzles. I was excited about being able to make her a 30 piece photo puzzle that included her own picture, name and birthdate for her very first big girl puzzle.

The photo puzzle box has the photo right on it. You can't see it very well in the picture, but the top lefy has her first, middle and last name (20 letters plus spaces) and her full birthdate (written out, not numerical). It fits a lot of writing.

She was so excited to see her Piczzle photo puzzle had her picture on it!!

The puzzle pieces come in a small zip top bag inside the box.

You have to be careful with how you put the pieces in the bag though so that it isn't too fat in any one area or otherwise, the box won't close. So just make sure to evenly distribute the pieces in the bag! A suggestion that I would like to make to Piczzle would be to use a slightly deeper box.

Since it was Daniella's first time doing a jigsaw puzzle, I showed her how you first flip all of the pieces over so that you can see the picture on them.

Then we worked on sorting the pieces by separating them based on inner or edge pieces.

She did very well with sorting them!

Then we had to carefully observe the parts of the photo that are on the pieces and try to see which pieces fit together.

The pieces were just the right size for her little hands and she was easily able to connect the pieces.

We did the outer frame of the Piczzle photo puzzle first.

Then we filled in the middle! Overall, for her first time, Daniella did very well with this although we will need to practice some more. But that is okay, because her Piczzle photo puzzle is very durable and looks like it would last a super long time!
