Enjoy Natural-Based Bath, Body, and Aromotherapy Products from Hanalei Bath (Review with Giveaway, Ends 06/17/14, Continental U.S. Only)

Disclosure: We received free body products in exchange for our honest opinion about them.
Hanalei Bath is dedicated to feeling good through natural-based bath, body, & aromatherapy products.
I was able to try Orange and Clove soap, Blood Orange Lavender Shea Butter, and Detox salt by Hanalei Bath. The minute I received them, I fell in love because the box smelled heavenly!!

This is the detox salt. Here's what Hanalei Bath says about their detox salt-
Our detox bath salts contain bentonite clay known as a great detoxifier for pulling impurities through the skin. It also contains juniper and fennel essential oils which are natural diuretics and assist the body with detoxification.
Michael loves bath salts of all kinds, especially after a long day on his feet at work. He told me that he especially liked the scent of this one. He also said that it was very easy to use and washed down the drain easier than most salts he uses.

This is by far my new favorite shea butter!!!
Here's what Hanalei Bath says about their shea butter-
We use essential oils in our all natural whipped Shea butters, no fragrance oils.

It smells absolutely divine. The combination of the blood orange with my favorite scent of lavender is simply bliss. I cannot get enough of it.

However, a little bit goes a long way. This much shown on my finger, moisturized both of my hands, both of Daniella's hands, plus Daniella's back, too!! It spreads so far. She loves to smell pretty like Mama does.

This has got to be the most interesting scent for a bar soap that I have ever experienced. And I mean that in a good way!
Here's what Hanalei Bath says about their bar soap-
The all natural handmade cold processed soap is also vegan.
Look at this fabulous ingredient list!!

This soap is really nice. It lathered well and made me smell fresh and clean. My hands felt very moisturized after using it. What a different scent to try. I was happy that I went outside of my normal of fruity and flowery scents to try this one.
Hanalei Bath really would love to have you try their products for yourself! Use code SPRINGFLING to save $1.00 off any order. Minimum of $5.00 order required.

Here's what Hanalei Bath says about the prizes -
Our all natural soap is made using the old fashioned cold process method. We use skin nourishing oils such as olive, coconut, and Shea butter to name a few. They provide a great cream lather that is not drying to the skin.
Our natural lip balms are very popular. We use mango butter, beeswax, coconut oil and jojoba oil to provide moisture and protection without a waxy texture.

PaperlessKitchen Skoy Cloths - The Perfect Alternative to Paper Towels! (Review with Giveaway, Ends 06/13/14, US Only)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
was founded to help individuals, households, businesses and organizations adopt greener lifestyles and philosophies by offering alternatives to disposable kitchen products. By choosing our reusable and sustainable products, our customers protect acres of forests, reduce the waste that ends up in landfills and reduce their overall environmental footprint. PaperlessKitchen is a sensible, fashionable, and convenient step towards sustaining our environmental future.
While long-term steps to permanently reduce pollution and protect our natural resources require large efforts on a global scale, each of us can play a part in saving our planet by making small changes in our home and work environments.
Unlike other websites that carry just one or two green kitchen products, PaperlessKitchen deals exclusively in products meant to replace paper towels, synthetic nylon scrubbers, paper napkins and similar items used to clean and maintain the kitchen. We have a wide selection of products, giving our customers a broad range of items to suit their tastes and fit their lifestyles. Our team is constantly researching what's new in green living and discovering items to add to our inventory, so that we offer the latest and greatest among today's kitchen paper product alternatives.
We match our diverse, eco-friendly inventory with first-rate customer service to ensure that purchasing from us is easy and hassle-free. Our number one priority is making it simple for you to "green" your kitchen and do your part to protect our planet.
Let me introduce you to Skoy Cloths -
PaperlessKitchen SKOY biodegradable cloths are an absorbent, eco-friendly alternative to cleaning with paper towels. With PaperlessKitchen SKOY cloth multi-packs, you can clean everything without reaching for a single paper towel. Instead of wood pulp that comes from trees and contributes to deforestation, SKOY cloths are fashioned out of cellulose derived from sustainable plants. Each cloth features an attractive design printed with water-based inks, which are free of toxins and friendly to the planet.
Unlike single-use paper towels, SKOY cloths can be reused again and again. Due to their durability and incredible absorbency, just one cloth is the equivalent to 15 rolls of paper towels. This makes the cloths a smarter choice for your budget as well as for the health of the planet.
When a SKOY cloth is finally ready to be thrown away, you can do so without guilt, as its plant-based fibers are 100 percent biodegradable. In independent lab tests, the cloths were found to decompose completely within just 5 weeks, so they do not contribute to the mounting problem of overcrowding in landfills.
SKOY cloths can be used for any task that a paper towel can handle from cleaning up spills to wiping up counters to buffing windows and mirrors. Paperless kitchen makes it easy to stock your home with these remarkable green cleaning cloths with eight different multi-packs. The sets also make great stocking stuffers and green gifts.
I received two Skoy Cloth starter sets. Each set contained four cloths.
I really like that they are reusable and biodegradable. Being made from sustainable plants makes Skoy Cloths an even better product in my opinion! I don't even remember the last time I used a paper towel, it's been so long since we last purchased them. We have slowly replaced every disposable product in our home with something reusable.
These are the perfect compromise for a household that is transitioning to reusable products or for a family who is having trouble letting go of using disposable products. My husband loves to use paper towels! He likes being able to simply throw the mess away. I like that I can just toss them in the laundry and clean up that mess. Instead of throwing away money on a disposable product, I prefer investing money into a durable, longer lasting product. Skoy Cloths are ideal to me.
The clothes easily bend and fold similarly to the washcloths we typically clean with. They are fairly stiff, but soften once wet. The not so great part is when I wash them in the washing machine and lay them out to air dry, they are super stiff upon using them again. has generously offered a giveaway for a surprise Skoy Cloth package!

Learning to Tell Time with Zingo!® Time-telling Game by ThinkFun (for Grades K-3) Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
We received a free game in exchange for our honest opinion about it.
Daniella is finishing up homeschooling for her Pre-K year. We began including some Kindergarten level work over the last couple of months as well, including her newest interest of learning to tell time. It was excellent timing for us to receive the Zingo!® Time-telling game to review.
Let me tell you a little bit about the game first -
Zingo!® Time-telling (Ages 5 and up, Grades K – 3rd, two or more players, MSRP: $19.99)

Learn to tell time with Zingo!
Zingo! Time-telling is a fun way to learn to read a clock. Slide the Zinger to reveal hours and minutes like a digital clock, then look for matches on your cards that show an analog clock with hour and minute hands. As players match tiles and cards, their understanding of telling time in both analog and digital formats is strengthened. Two levels of play grow with your child – a Beginner level helps young players get familiar with the concept of time, and an Advanced level introduces older players to more complex challenges.

The instructions to play are very simple. I love that the instructions are in a pictorial format so that players don't have to know how to read to be able to play!
This is the Zinger. The timepieces are inside. You slide it to see the current pieces to play. I really like how the pieces are color coordinated. All of the hours pieces are blue and all of the minutes pieces are an orange-y yellow.
If you look closely at the game boards, you can see that it is a one-to-one matching format similar to Bingo! If you have the matching piece, you place it on your game board where the corresponding number is.
Daniella really enjoyed playing the game with her cousin! They have played it many times during the last week. Daniella has also played it several times with Brandon. Brandon used the Advanced level whenever they played. Daniella isn't ready for the Advanced level yet.
Matching the timepieces were easy! The girls picked up on the game very easily and had so much fun playing it together.
I have noticed that Daniella has been pointing out the numbers on digital clocks more often since we received the game. She has primarily focused on the hour numbers for now, but I have no doubt that she will catch on quickly as she plays the game more often.
I highly recommend this game for homeschooling families as well as for teachers of grades K-3 or multi-grade special needs classrooms.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Enjoy the Benefits of Baltic Amber with Amberbelle Beads and More (Review with Giveaway, Ends 06/10/14, US Only)

Disclosure: I received a free amber necklace in exchange for my honest opinion about it.
Before you proceed with reading, please note that I seldom take selfies so they didn't come out so well!
I have been curious about the benefits of Baltic amber jewelry for a while. But I figured, I don't have a teething baby in the house, so why would we need Baltic amber? Well, Amberbelle Beads and More helped me realize that *I* could benefit from wearing Baltic amber!
I have had neck pain off and on for years since a car accident that wasn't my fault in 2008. Even though I get regular chiropractic adjustments, it still hasn't gone completely away. But I have noticed a dramatic decrease in the pain in the last couple of months. Now I did have to go gluten free around the same time so that may also play a role in the decrease in pain.
I have also noticed that I haven't been having as many headaches lately, too. Which has been super nice. Again, I can't say for certain that it's because of the Baltic amber necklace, but I also can't say it's not. Either way, it's been a nice change.
The necklace is lightweight and I easily forget that it's even there (until a little one tugs at it!). I love the shade variations of the beads. It is so pretty. I have gotten several compliments about the necklace.
The first necklace I received experienced something new and different for Amberbelle Beads and More -  the screw broke off inside of it when I tried opening it for the first time! She has to use glue to secure the screw on one side and all she can think is the glue may had leached out further along the screw and sealed it shut. It had never happened to her before, but as soon as I sent her this picture, she was very willing to fix it - and she did, very quickly in fact.
Amberbelle Beads and More has several varieties of beads to select from as the picture below shows -
Amberbelle Beads and More sent me some great information about the benefits and care of Baltic amber-
Designed for babies with teething symptoms.  Recommended for babies from about 1-2 months to 2 years or more of age. Worn close to skin for natural pain relief. Amber beads when heated by your own body temp provide natural remedy without use of drugs. Each necklace being hand made from natural high quality Baltic Amber.
**Its therapeutic properties are also good for adults for Immune boosting properties, anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties for head aches, arthritis and body pain.
-Weight of amber baby necklace is 6-8 grams.
-Length of amber baby necklace is 11.0-12.0 inches (32-33 cm)
-Barrel screw clasps consist of two round threaded cylinders where one end screws into the other end by twisting them around several times. They provide greater security than magnetic or hook type clasps but will break is caught on something to avoid strangulation.
-The amber beads are strung on strong cotton thread.
What is amber teething necklace. How it works:
Baltic Amber teething necklaces are the ideal solution when you choose to care for your baby in a natural way. When a baby is wearing amber teething necklace on the skin, the skin's warmth releases healing oils and resins from the amber which are absorbed via the skin into the bloodstream. Amber is not a stone and therefore warm to the touch, as well as very comfortable and light to wear.
Amber is known to reduce inflammation of the throat, ear and stomach and to fight inflammation, infections and respiratory disease. Traditional beaded amber necklaces are a less intrusive remedy for the pain and side effects of teething, such as lack of appetite, upset tummies, ear ache, fevers and colds. A natural analgesic, amber will help calm a baby without resorting to drugs. Amber's anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties are also recognized by allopathic medicine. These necklaces are long known for the healing properties of amber which include calmative, analgesic, antispasmodic, expectorant, and febrifuge function. Amber, a natural analgesic, is commonly worn by babies and young children to help with teething difficulties. The amber is said to reduce inflammation caused by teething when worn close to the skin and promote a stronger immunity to common infection as well as assisting general well-being.
 Warnings and Cautions:
  - Amber teething necklaces should be removed when baby is sleeping or unattended!
 - Amber necklaces are made for wearing, not for chewing!
 - Please use caution and supervise your baby while using the necklace!
**I cannot assume any responsibility in the wearing of this necklace**
Baltic Amber is a resin that is like sap which formed over 45 million years old from the Baltic Sea region of Europe/Asia. It contains a natural anti-inflammatory (succinic acid) which is good for the teething infant/toddlers . When your body heats the resin it releases its oil into your blood-steam to activate this healing powers.
Its therapeutic properties are also good for adults for •Immune boosting properties •Anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties for head aches, arthritis and body pain •Recognized by allopathic medicine as a natural analgesic.
Amberbelle Beads and More wants you to know that she buys her beads direct from the Baltic region in Lithuania, each piece of jewelry is hand knotted and uses a screw barrel clasp for break away safety concerns.  She tests all her batches of Amber when she receives it to make sure it is real Amber.

Yoga Clothing, Rugs, Props, Mats and More from Barefoot Yoga (Review with Giveaway, Ends 06/04/14, Continental U.S. Only)

Disclosure: We received a free yoga rug in exchange for our honest opinion about it.
It was during a long journey through India, the birthplace of yoga, when I realized the necessity of a yoga mat for my practice.

Having the ability to lay it down wherever I was at that moment, on a dirt floor, or any patch of well-worn earth and just practice, was a luxury to me.

Putting my face to the ground where people and animals have walked for centuries took my attention away from my yoga practice. My mat became sacred to me and was all I needed between my body and all that history.
Doing yoga in India is as natural as breathing itself.

Walking through the streets, shoulder to shoulder with the masses, with all the senses aroused, I began to feel the ancient practice of yoga ingrained in every aspect of Indian culture, and I knew I was in the right place.
I was artistically inspired by the infinite array of patterns and colors I saw in India. From the multicolored jacquard saris drying along the Ganges, the orange cloths of Saddhus, the decorative bindis (third-eye), holy cows, exotic fruits and vegetables, earthy spices, sweet chai, and swollen sacks of Basmati rice, to the intricate swirls and scrolls in the architecture.
This inspiration I put into the design of the original yoga mat bag in 1996, which became essential for carrying all I needed for yoga while in transit throughout India, be it on a bus, train, or bicycle to and from studying yoga in Mysore.
Blended with the sea of humanity, I was caught in a wave from the minute I stepped out of the airport into a bustling Indian city, until the day I stepped back into another century as I boarded the plane to leave.
Back home, everything seems so fast-paced. It is hard to be prepared enough to conquer daily challenges, and basic life pressures seem to be ever increasing as our perceptions of the world become more complicated.

Yoga has always been an escape from mental chaos and an entry into tangible peace and self-acceptance for me.
I offer these products as tools to help achieve more peace and stillness through the practice of yoga when there is restlessness of the mind, intellect and spirit. These tools are only external props that I have personally enjoyed in my experiences. The true pathway is within yourself.
Enjoy the products. Enjoy the yoga.
Barefoot Yoga co.
After reading that, don't you just want to travel to India yourself? I know I do now! But it also makes me want to do more yoga. We love yoga around here, including my children. So we were excited when Barefoot Yoga sent us one of their Mysore Rugs to try out.

We received the Bengal Blue Practice Rug and Daniella really enjoys using it.

Look how gigantic it is! This Mysore Rug measures:
Standard: 28" wide x 74" long x 1/8" thick

Bengal Blue Rugs also available in:
Extra Long: 28" wide x 100" long x 1/8" thick
Extra Wide: 36" wide x 74" long x 1/8" thick
She likes having a special place to sit to do yoga. Having boundaries is good for her to help her remember where she needs to be so that she isn't in anyone else's way and potentially in harm's way.
Daniella can easily spread out and have plenty of room to grow. She can do any yoga pose she wants and not bump into anyone anymore!
Barefoot Yoga's Original Mysore Practice Rugs have been traditionally used for Mysore style Astanga practice in India and are also excellent for any athletic or sweat-producing yoga practice like Bikram or Vinyasa styles. These decorative and tightly woven cotton rugs have been around for centuries and are considered to be the first mats ever used for yoga practice in India. Mysore rugs are one of the more eco-friendly yoga mats available as they are completely biodegradable and PVC free.

The rugs rest nicely over any
Yoga Mat and most floor surfaces, adding extra cushion for sitting postures and better traction and stability for standing postures. (We recommend using a mat under your rug to keep it from moving on the floor).

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I wash my rug in the washing machine?

Yes, However, WASH IN COLD WATER ONLY. This is very important for keeping the colors bright. If washed in Warm or Hot water, the colors may fade. After washing in Cold water separately either in the washing machine or by hand, we recommend hanging it to dry or, if in a hurry to have it dry, throw in a gentle dryer and bring to class slightly damp for the best traction available.
Q: I am still slipping on my rug. What's wrong?

The rug works best when damp. If you are starting your practice dry, you will not achieve the best traction until your rug is slightly damp from sweating. We suggest, as they do in India, to sprinkle water on your rug at the hand and feet position before starting your practice. Only a small amount of water is necessary. Or, start your practice on your sticky mat, and when you start to sweat and slip on your sticky mat, then roll out your practice rug and the slipping will stop with the moisture from perspiration from your hands and feet.
For best results with your Practice Rug, lightly sprinkle water over the entire rug surface, or lightly mist your rug evenly with a small spray bottle before class (especially at hands and feet position) and you should achie ve excellent traction during your practice. You can also roll out your rug over your sticky mat after you begin to sweat and no water will be needed. The more you sweat, the better the traction.

All of our Practice Rugs are 100% cotton and can be washed in a standard washing machine on GENTLE CYCLE in COLD WATER ONLY. Or, they are best washed in a tub of cold water with a light, natural detergent and hung to dry. Please note: We have had 2 cases of people washing their rugs in a top-loading washing machine, where the churner of the machine has caught the fringes and pulled the fringes off of the rugs, so we suggest using your best judgement if washing them in a top-loading machine since there is a slight risk of this happening to you. Thousands of others have been washed in a top-loading machine with great success. If you are in a hurry, it is ok to throw your damp washed rug into a gentle dryer to expedite your drying time, but many like to take their damp rugs to class to achieve better traction. Rugs will tighten up with washing and drying, but do not shrink. They loosen with use.

Overall, we have been very happy with our Barefoot Yoga Mysore Rug. It works very well on the carpet in our living room. I haven't needed to wash it yet so I can't speak for how it holds up in the laundry, but the instructions seem easy enough, don't you think? It rolls up well and can be stored easily, too, which makes it even better to me!

Right now you can save 25% off all clothing and up to 75% off all sale clothing!
