Whaley's Big Adventure, a Children's Book (Review with Giveaway, Ends 06/18/14, US Only)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Join Whaley on his big adventure in the ocean as he meets Whales of all different sizes. Written by 5 year old Alexander Luke and presented by his grandmother, award-winning children's author Carole P. Roman, this oceanic adventure of whale sized proportions will teach youngsters about the different whales that live in the oceans.

We will be beginning next school year with a unit on ocean animals. Daniella has been looking forward to it. Receiving this book was a great way to piqué her interest in the subject so she knew what to look forward to learning about in August!
Whaley's Big Adventure is a delightful picture book. I love how through most of the book for each page, one side told the story, the other side gave some facts. This intrigued Daniella and kept her interested while she was learning!
The illustrations are adorable. They appear to be water color paintings which were done by Alexander Luke.
Considering that a five year old painted them, the details of the paintings are very well done!
Not just the details of the animals, but their surroundings as well.
My son, 12, even learned a few new things about whales. We saw a Beluga whale at Sea World last year so this picture was his favorite.
Daniella liked how "Whaley would bump into the other whales." She also thought it was funny how the animals had a playdate at the end!
She loves having Brandon read to her! I love to see them interact together, especially over a book!
